Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta chaired a security review meeting and directed the phased lifting of remaining restrictions to restore normalcy across the Union Territory.

Officials said that all colleges resumed operations on Wednesday morning after being shut down since the violent agitation led by the Leh Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance, demanding statehood and extension of Sixth Schedule safeguards for Ladakh.
