ESPN NHL analyst Ryan Callahan has announced that he is leaving the network as the 2025 season gets underway.

Fans had been asking on social media where Callahan was, leading him to release a statement on Tuesday.

"For all those asking, I am taking a step away from ESPN this year,“ Ryan Callahan posted on X . ”It has been a great four years with the worldwide leader in sports. I’m going to miss working with all the great people there, but I wanted to spend more time with my young family.

“Excited to tune in tonight to see the start of what should be another great NHL season!”

Callahan joined ESPN in 2021, serving as an analyst for select NHL games.

He began his broadcasting career in 2019 with the NHL Network and has also worked with NHL on NBC.
