STORM LAKE, Iowa (KTIV) - The City of Storm Lake has hired a new fire chief, according to the city’s Facebook page.

Terence S. Sinner has accepted the position of Storm Lake Fire Chief. Sinner will begin service at the Storm Lake Fire Department later in October 2025.

Storm Lake officials say Chief Sinner brings experience in fire and emergency services. He previously served for three years as the Division Chief of Fire Prevention/Fire Marshal for the City of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. In that role, he managed fire prevention, fire investigation and public education programs.

Before that role, he served as Fire Inspector for the City of Casa Grande, Arizona.

Chief Sinner’s career also includes 20 years with the Department of Defense, where he held multiple federal civil service position
