ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - Warrants obtained by WIS show several firearms were seized at South Carolina State University before two people were hit by gunfire on the Orangeburg campus last weekend.

Documents show the South Carolina State University Department of Public Safety made a total of seven weapon-related arrests on Oct. 4, with 11 guns being discovered.

None of the charges are directly linked to reported shootings on the campus that killed 19-year-old Jaliyah Butler and left another person hurt later that night.

Each suspect was charged with carrying weapons on school property, with some facing other counts:
