WATERLOO -- State police have arrested a member of the Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors.
Agents with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation arrested Christopher Thomas Schwartz, 45, Wednesday morning.
His booking entry at the Black Hawk County Jail states he was arrested on a warrant for sexual abuse and bond was set at $50,000. Jail officials confirmed he was being booked but couldn't confirm the charges.
Schwartz, of Waterloo, is currently in his third term as a supervisor, having been first elected in 2016.
His current term is set to expire in 2028.
He works as a community organizer and is a director or member of boards such as Operation Threshold, Middle Cedar Watershed Management Authority and Cedar Valley Pridefest.
