SUMNER COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified two men who died in a fiery crash in rural Sumner County Tuesday morning.
The crash happened just before 10 a.m. at U.S. 160 and Hillside, east of Wellington. KHP says that a Ford F-150, driven by 56-year-old John Stoddard of Belle Plaine, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 160 when it went left of center for an unknown reason, striking a westbound Peterbuilt semi. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch, where they both caught fire.
