A 34-year-old man is accused of attacking an elderly woman, striking her several times and forcibly restraining her inside a Wilson Borough apartment.

Joshua Scott Porphy, who is homeless, is charged with four misdemeanor crimes: unlawful restraint causing serious bodily injury, indecent assault forcible compulsion, simple assault; and making terroristic threats. He also is charged with summary harassment.

Porphy was arraigned Sunday before District Judge Vivian I. Zumas, who set bail at $150,000. After failing to post bail, he was taken to Northampton County Prison , where he remained Wednesday morning.

Court records did not immediately show any attorney information for Porphy.
