Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the Navi Mumbai International Airport and Mumbai Metro Line 3 on Wednesday. The two mega projects will boost connectivity in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The Prime Minister was accompanied by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde.

Mumbai Metropolitan Region is getting its second major international airport. Addressing the inaugural event, PM Modi said, “The Navi Mumbai Airport, Metro 3 project, and other projects are being inaugurated in Mumbai today. Congratulations to Maharashtra and the nation.”
