Saoirse Ronan is set to play Linda McCartney, the wife of Paul McCartney, in the upcoming series of Beatles films from director Sam Mendes. She will be playing opposite Paul Mescal's Paul, reuniting the actors after they last appeared on screen together in 2023's Foe . Paul and Linda McCartney married in 1969, just before The Beatles broke up, and stayed together until her death from cancer in 1998. They were also bandmates in the post-Beatles band Wings.

There are no details on the size or nature of the part, as there is little known about the structure of the ambitious four film project due in 2028, other than each film is from the point of view of a different Beatle.
