ALLEN PARK -- Terrion Arnold received good news with the second opinion on his injured shoulder.

But the Detroit Lions still aren’t sure when the second-year cornerback could return. Arnold was expected to miss “a long time,” then reports indicated it could be a season-ending issue.

But reports with his second opinion said he could return as soon as this month. Dan Campbell said it looks like he’ll avoid surgery. But the Lions coach thinks Arnold could still have a lengthy absence.

“There’s a second opinion that came in, and so now it’s, OK, let’s see if we can strengthen a little bit,” Campbell said on Wednesday. “Get a little bit of the inflammation out.
