GRAND BLANC, MI — Grand Blanc is better together.

It’s the motto on every sign as you drive around town — a saying that has worked to strengthen the community amidst tragedy.

And that was the resounding message from every speaker at Grand Blanc’s Better Together Community Reflection event on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Don Batchelor Field.

Bishop Jeffrey Schaub, faith leader of The Grand Blanc Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, stood proudly and humbled among faith leaders from throughout the city — standing together in unity as a symbol of the community’s strength.

Hundreds listened on looking to cope, to grieve, looking for answers and an opportunity to heal and bond as one as Schaub spoke.
