Joe Flacco is being asked to immediately help the 2-3 Cincinnati Bengals .

Just days after being traded by the Browns to the Bengals, Flacco will start on Sunday, Oct. 12 against the Green Bay Packers.

Bengals coach Zac Taylor announced on Wednesday, Oct. 8 that Flacco will get the nod over Jake Browning, who has been starting since starter Joe Burrow went down with a turf toe injury in Week 3 of the season.

"He's already spent a lot of time meeting with us, getting up to speed, so I feel really good about where he's at," Taylor said to reporters. "(I'm) very comfortable with his style, concepts he's good at, things that we do. All of the terminology, there's a carryover, moreso than I would have anticipated.
