SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A man was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in connection to an armed robbery that happened on Sept 15.

Officers first responded to a business in the 2000 block of Centenary Boulevard at around 8:40 p.m.

They determined that a man had entered the store with a large knife, rushed behind the counter, threatened the clerk and demanded she fill a bag with cigarette cartons. He then reportedly ran northbound.

On Tuesday, Oct. 7, investigators executed a search warrant at Solly Thompkins’ home and found evidence linked to the robbery.

He was later arrested and booked on one count of armed robbery.
