(WJW) – “I ain’t dead yet!” That's what country star Dolly Parton said in a video on Wednesday after social media rumors made it sound like she could be really ill.

“I want to say something!” Dolly said at the start of the video that was posted to Facebook. “Well, today’s October the 8th, and obviously I’m here doing some commercials for the Grand Ole Opry. Lately, everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here.”

This clarification comes after Parton’s sister took to social media Tuesday afternoon to ask for prayers, saying the country superstar “hasn’t been feeling her best.” The 79-year-old also recently postponed her Las Vegas tour, citing “health challenges.”

During the Wednesday video, Dolly said she wanted to put everyone’s mind at ease.
