TAMPA, Fla. — A newly proposed Florida House bill would require public state colleges and universities to rename certain campus roads after Charlie Kirk .

Republican Rep. Kevin Steele's HB 113 lists the public colleges and universities across Florida that would have to rename specific roadways for Kirk. If they don't within 90 days of the bill being signed by Governor Ron DeSantis, the bill says state funds will be withheld from those institutions.

"My goal with this bill is to continue his legacy through generations of students that will attend our schools and will be faced with many differing ideas," Steele wrote in a post on X.

The bill lists out various roads at different colleges along with a recommended name change that includes Kirk's name.
