Dexter is officially returning for a second season. Most people assumed it would after Showtime on Paramount on Skydance canceled the Dexter prequel after renewing it and opening a writers’ room for season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection , but now it’s official. Michael C. Hall made a video and everything.

Showtime on Paramount on Skydance — which may someday also be on HBO on Warner Bros. Discovery — also gave a pink slip to The Chi , which will end its run
