SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - LSUS’s undefeated baseball team, the Pilots, is set to visit the Whitehouse following a historic undefeated season.
On Oct. 8, the Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) baseball team, who won the university’s first-ever NAIA national championship in any sport, will be visiting the Whitehouse in DC.
Not only did the Pilots win the championship, but they did so with a perfect 59-0 season. They are the first college team in history to have an undefeated season. The team was also inducted into the NWLA Walk of Stars.
The invitation came from the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, who represents Louisiana’s Fourth District.
