Comcast’s NBCUniversal is carving off most of its cable TV networks into a new company called Versant — but those will continue to be part of NBCU’s upfront next year.
NBCU has already circled the date on next year’s calendar for its upfront presentation to advertisers for the 2026-27 season: It will be held Monday, May 11, 2026, returning to Radio City Music Hall in New York City (which is across the street from 30 Rockefeller Center). The upfront will highlight the 100th anniversary of the NBC broadcast network.
Comcast is in the process of splitting off most of NBCU’s cable networks, along with some other assets, into Versant. The transaction creating the separate, publicly traded company is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. Versant will house CNBC, MSNBC ( soon to bec
