Actress Francia Raisa is speaking out about her friendship with Selena Gomez following Raisa’s notable absence from Gomez’s recent wedding to music producer Benny Blanco.

In a newly resurfaced interview filmed before the Santa Barbara nuptials, Raisa, 37, addressed rumors of a rift between her and Gomez, to whom she famously donated a kidney in 2017 amid the singer’s battle with lupus, Parade noted.

Speaking in Spanish during an interview filmed in a bookstore, Raisa confirmed she was aware of Gomez’s marriage plans and wished her well.

“I know she’s getting married, and I’m very happy for her,” Raisa said, according to translated subtitles. “And look… she has a life and she is already a billionaire and I am grateful that I could do that for her.”
