MOBILE, Ala. ( WALA /Gray News) - A sheriff is facing backlash because of an ICE-themed Halloween display in his front yard.
The display in Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch’s front yard depicts an ICE raid, showing skeletons wearing ICE shirts supposedly chasing other skeletons wearing sombreros and ponchos climbing over a fence.
Michelle Burch, the sheriff’s wife, told WALA that she makes “tongue-in-cheek Halloween decorations” every year.
“I like decorating for Halloween and other holidays and rotate these decorations periodically. My husband has nothing to do with these, other than mowing the grass around them.
