COLD SPRING, Ky. (WXIX) - A Northern Kentucky man is going for a world record this Halloween, all while teaming up with friends to raise money for kids.

For decades, the man known as Halloween Herm and his family have been putting on a massive show on Village Green Drive for the whole community.

Halloween Herm says his mom started the Halloween tradition when he was just a little boy, and he now keeps it going to honor her memory.

“We lost her in ’99 to cancer, so the day she passed, Aug. 18, is the day they start setting up in her memory,” Halloween Herm said.

The display on Village Green Drive is called “Deadsprings Cemetery.”

Each year, Halloween Herm picks a different charity to support.

He puts out a donation bin for visitors who want to contribute.
