SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A party advertised as family fun and kid-friendly took a turn for the worse when shots rang out at A.B. Palmer Park.
Online flyers indicated a party guarded with a heavy police presence would take place tonight at A.B Palmer Park; however, around 7 p.m., the family function that boasted free food and entertainment had more than 15 emergency units dispatched and reports of shots fired.
The event was taking place as the rest of the city was celebrating National Night Out.
One teen has been reported dead.
