COLUMBIA, N.C. (WITN) - A Plymouth man has posted bond after being arrested for a shooting that happened in Tyrrell County.

Keondrea Swain is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, manufacture/sale/deliver/possess controlled substance within 1000 feet of school, and carrying a concealed weapon.

Tyrrell County deputies say the shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. Monday at 2nd and Hicks streets in Columbia. The getaway vehicle was stopped on U.S. 64, while the victim, who is under the age of 18, was taken to ECU Health Chowan with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Deputies say the victim’s condition is stable.
