A friend of Selena Gomez, who donated a kidney to the actress and singer, has spoken out after rumours spread on social media that they were no longer best pals.

Francia Raisa, known for her roles in and , told TV and radio reporter Magaly Ortiz late last month that news of their falling out was not true during a Spanish-language interview.

The day before Gomez’s wedding to Benny Blanco on Sept. 28, Raisa gave her best wishes to the happy couple after revealing she was not invited to their nuptials near Santa Barbara, Calif.

“I know she’s getting married, and I’m very happy for her,” Raisa said, according to translated subtitles of her TV interview shared to Reddit .

“And look, she has a life and she is already a billionaire and I am grateful that I could do that for her,” she said
