CANTON ‒ We triple dog dare ya to miss this.

Peter Billingsley, who portrayed Ralphie Parker in the holiday classic "A Christmas Story," will visit Canton on Dec. 21 for a special screening of the movie at the Canton Palace Theatre .

Billingsley — who uttered immortal lines such as “Some men are Baptists, others Catholics; my father was an Oldsmobile man,” “In our world, you were either a bully, a toady, or one of the nameless rabble of victims,” and, of course “Oh my god, I shot my eye out!” — will participate in a conversation and question-and-answer session after the film.

The film will begin at 7 p.m.

The evening will include a VIP pre-show meet and greet, showing of the 1983 film, and a moderated Q&A with Billingsley sharing stories from the movie set and behind-the-scenes pho
