EFL referee Matt Donohue has revealed his reasoning for a variety of decisions he made during Birmingham City's frustrating 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.
Speaking on Sky Sports Mic'd Up programme the official gave insight into situations involving Blues winger Lewis Koumas, the booking of Patrick Roberts and the difficult call to stop the game after Alex Cochrane appeared to pick up a head injury.
Blues went into the match expecting to beat the embattled Owls but despite having gone 1-0 up through Jay Stansfield, they ended up trailing 2-1 and needed a last minute Demarai Gray equaliser to extend their long unbeaten run at home.
It was an eventful match that saw five players booked and several contetious decisions.
None more so than the call Donohue made in the
