A bull moose in Estes Park, Colorado got a helpful lift this week after it fell into a canal.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife shared video on Facebook showing wildlife officers wrapping ropes around the moose’s antlers and using a crane to slowly hoist it out of the water.
On land, the young moose fully cooperated with its rescuers as they untied it, and shakily rose to its feet after the rescue.
Officials told NBC affiliate KUSA that the moose was exhausted after its rescue due to their use of a tranquilizer, but after a few days recovery, it is back in the wild.
