More than three-and-a-half years after leading the truckers’ occupation of Ottawa’s downtown streets, convoy organizers Tamara Lich and Chris Barber received their sentences Tuesday at the Elgin Street courthouse.
Each was handed an 18-month conditional sentence — a year of house arrest followed by six months of curfew. It’s a compromise that won’t likely satisfy anyone.
