AMES — Tamin Lipsey walked with a limp and carried a smile.

Wednesday marked the start of the third week of Lipsey's recovery from a grade two MCL sprain to his right knee he suffered in practice. The initial timeline for his recovery was four to six weeks.

Lipsey spent his first week in a straight-leg brace and used crutches to get around. The second week, he started increasing the motion of his knee and has now graduated to walking and jogging in a pool.

Lipsey, a senior, averaged 10.6 points, 3.1 assists, 2.6 rebound
