SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - The Vermont League of Cities and Towns (VLCT) honored three Vermonters on Wednesday for their "active commitment to strong local government."
A Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Bill Fraser, the Montpelier City Manager for 30 years. Fraser served during the city's recovery from multiple major floods, and presided over numerous construction projects including a water treatment plant completed in 2001. His last day in office was this past June.
VLCT noted that Fraser was also its president for two years. However, an official who worked with him said that he had "truly earned" the award.
