SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - The Department of Public Health has confirmed that two Spartanburg County Schools have had reported cases of measles.

Global Academy of South Carolina and Fairforest Elementary, in District 6, have confirmed cases linked to the current outbreak.

Both schools said they’re taking precautions by excluding students who may have been exposed, including identifying and temporarily excluding them from school activities until risk of transmission has passed.

There are seven confirmed measles cases, as of October 8, associated with the Spartanburg County outbreak. 10 overall cases have been reported in South Carolina for 2025.
