All three evening news broadcasts experienced viewership declines in the Adults 25-54 demo for the week of September 29.

However, ABC World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News saw week-to-week growth in total viewers, while CBS Evening News fell in both measured categories.

ABC World News Tonight’s demo lead over NBC Nightly News grew to a difference of 69,000 additional viewers, up from the 48,000 viewer difference from the previous week.

Note: The weekly average of ABC News is based on one day (Tuesday). Monday’s (09/29/25) broadcast was retitled to WNT-ABC due to the NFL. Meanwhile, the broadcasts from Wednesday (10/01/2025) to Friday (10/02/2025) were also retitled to WNT-ABC due to the MLB Playoffs. These broadcasts were excluded from the weekly and season averages.
