Kevin Durant will debut with the Houston Rockets tonight at 8 p.m. ET against the Utah Jazz (NBA League Pass ), playing in front of his new home fans at the Toyota Center.

Durant, now in his 18th NBA season, announced his decision to play on the “Up & Adams” show earlier today.

“It’s a different feel when you’re underneath the lights, the whistle, and a real game,” said Durant. “I want to get that conditioning back.”

A 15-time All-Star and the 2014 Kia Most Valuable Player, Durant stands at eighth on the all-time scoring list .

He and Clint Capela were traded to Houston from Phoenix in the offseason in a multi-player deal.

Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks were sent to the Suns, along with Daeqwon Plowden, two first-round picks and three second-round picks.
