SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) - Despite the recent warm weather, the pumpkin season is thriving in western Massachusetts, with local farms reporting a bountiful harvest.

This year's favorable weather conditions have led to a healthy pumpkin crop, with large, orange pumpkins available at local farms such as Calabrese Farms in Southwick.

"The way the weather was drier throughout the summer and with the good amount of heat that we had, it set up for a really good fall harvest on the pumpkins this year," said Joe Calabrese of Calabrese Farms.
