FRANKFORT, Ky. —
Officials are investigating threats made to members of the Kentucky Parole Board after the release of a man who killed a child.
However, the board is not behind his release.
Authorities tell WLKY that over the past several days, members have had their personal information released online and received threats of violence and death.
The threats stem from the recent release of Ronald Exantus, an Indiana man who was convicted in the 2015 stabbing death of 6-year-old Logan Tipton in Versailles, Kentucky.
Exantus was sentenced to 20 years behind bars, guilty of assault, but not of murder by reason of insanity.
He was released after spending less than half that time behind bars due to good behavior and education credits. His release from prison drew attention from across th
