New video shows the dramatic rescue by Miami Beach Police of four people whose boat capsized in rough waters.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. Monday when the department's Marine Patrol Unit responded to reports of the capsized vessel south of government cut.

Crews worked through rough weather conditions with limited visibility to find the capsized boat and when they did, they found two people clinging to the vessel and two others in the water, officials said.

Body camera footage released by police on Wednesday showed officers racing to find the boaters in the dark.

Officers tossed them life jackets but one person was concerned for his friend, who appeared to be severely fatigued and in distress, officials said.
