MASONTOWN, W.Va. — A 19-year-old man wanted for aggravated murder in Cleveland was arrested Wednesday afternoon in West Virginia, authorities said.

According to a release from the U.S. Marshals Service, members of the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force arrested Waymon Donat, 19, at a residence in the 1200 block of Cale Road in Masontown, West Virginia.

Donat was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police in connection with an April 5, 2025, shooting that left a man dead near East 55th Street and Cedar Avenue. Officers responding to a vehicle crash found a car with bullet holes on the driver’s side and a man in the driver’s seat with gunshot wounds to the head and neck, police said.
