HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- The power is back on in parts of Owensboro after it was shut off due to a gas leak.

According to officials, it happened near West Second Street and Woodford Avenue. Officials say a gas line was hit.

While crews worked to make repairs, natural gas and electric service were turned off in the area. Officials say the gas line has been repaired and power was restored around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
