MILFORD, Mich. — Led by Sophia Pennywitt (20:11.8) and Emerie Schmidlin (20:20.3) finishing in second and third place respectively, St. Ursula (43) ran away with Catholic High School League cross country crown that was held at Kensington Metropark on Wednesday.
Kylee Diller took 11th for the Arrows with a time of 21:11.6, while Madilyn Polte (21:16.3) finished just behind her teammate in 12th place. Claire Harrison rounded out the scoring for St. Ursula with a 15th-place time of 21:17.6.
Notre Dame came in second place with 90 points. The Eagles were paced by Valerie Seymour (20:46.8) and Stella LeBlanc (21:03.1), who took seventh and ninth place.
