LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Because of the federal government shutdown, a program that provides breastfeeding support, nutritious foods and education has suspended services, officals said Wednesday.

The Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada WIC Program announced Wednesday that all program operations will be “temporarily” suspended as a result of the government shutdown.

Officials say it impacts services across all 28 federally-recognized tribal communities in Nevada, as well as non-tribal families served through ITCN offices in Reno, Elko and Las Vegas.
