ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a fatal crash on southbound Pan American Freeway and Jefferson Street NE involving two vehicles. It happened around 4 p.m. The crash did not happen on the freeway.

Northbound and southbound Pan American Freeway at Jefferson St. NE., and the east and westbound Jefferson bridge are closed because of the crash. Drivers are asked to avoid those exits and entrances both to and from I-40.
