CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- Police said a driver drove off after fatally striking a pedestrian in Chambersburg on Tuesday.
The pedestrian, Carol Ferry, was walking in a crosswalk around 7 p.m. at the intersection of West Washington Street and Water Street when she was struck by a vehicle, police said. Ferry died from her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle did not stay at the scene or render aid, police added.

Chambersburg Police said it is working to solve the incident and will release additional information when available. It did not say whether it identified or arrested the driver.
