CLEVELAND, Ohio — Former first round draft pick Daniel Espino worked a scoreless inning in his Arizona Fall League debut Tuesday, allowing an infield hit and striking out a pair on 16 pitches.

Espino, 24, was once Cleveland’s top prospect before injuries slowed his progress to the big leagues. He told MLB.com that he is happy with the way he has been throwing strikes and controlling the strike zone.
