DETROIT- The Tigers kept their season alive with a win over the Mariners in Game 4 of the ALDS. The series is now tied 2-2 and will head back to Seattle for the deciding Game 5 on Friday.
Casey Mize started on the bump for the Tigers and was pulled after three innings in which he allowed one run. Seattle would then tally runs in the fourth and fifth innings and Detroit trailed 3-0.
A Dillon Dingler double scored Zach McKinstry in the bottom of the fifth inning to get Detroit on the board. Jahmai Jones followed that up with a double and would later come around to score on a single by Javy Baez and suddenly the game was tied.
Troy Melton put a zero on the board in the top of the sixth and Detroit exploded with four more runs in the bottom half. Riley Greene and Baez each blasted home runs
