Canton leaders are scheduled to vote on awarding a construction contract Oct. 16 for the creation of South Canton Park.

The Canton City Council discussed potentially awarding this bid on Oct. 2.

On Aug. 21, the city issued a request for proposals for the complete construction of South Canton Park. The city received eight bids by the submission deadline of Sept. 18.

The bids are:

♦ JHC Corporation — $10,433,500

♦ Vertical Earth — $9,564,078.08

♦ Ward Humphries, Inc — $9,056,514

♦ Astra Group — $8,797,800

♦ NPSG Built, LLC — $8,368,722

♦ Headly General Contractor — $7,785,000

♦ Diversified Construction of Georgia — $7,634,212
