Can something be both old and new? Maybe.
That’s what Nelson de Hoyos, restaurant consultant for The Pharmacy at Augusta, envisioned. De Hoyos was previously the executive chef at Hall’s Chophouse.
He was approached in April by Tipsy Taco owners Tony King and Brian Shelton about the location at 15 Conestee Ave. in Greenville. At the time, the name had been announced as The Pharmacy, but few details had been released.
King and Shelton approached de Hoyos to create a refined sports bar concept. De Hoyos’ vision was tastefully playful.
