HERTFORDSHIRE, England — The Jets signed linebacker Jamien Sherwood to a three-year, $45 million contract in March. His teammates elected him one of their captains in August.

But Sherwood has struggled during the 2025 season and is part of the reason why the Jets defense has played so poorly through five games.

Jets coach Aaron Glenn said Sherwood has played well but did acknowledge that he might be pressing.
