An avid Melbourne thrift store shopper has stumbled on a large piece of Australian TV history.
Rebecca Brewin was in the This N That Community Op Shop in Forest Hill where hidden among the retail staples were what could be considered treasure for long time fans of the iconic show Neighbours.
Shop owner Michelle invited Ms Brewin into the back of the store where she revealed a recent shipment of school bags and uniforms from the fictitious Erinsborough High School, prop character licences and a key ring from the Lassiters Spa.
Among the most popular items included Karl Kennedy’s briefcase.
“I’ve seen some stuff in my time at the op shop, but I have never seen anything like this,” Ms Brewin said.
“Everything that you could possibly imagine from the fictitious area of Erinsborough.”
