CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. —

Gov. Josh Shapiro, along with other Pennsylvania officials, is sending their thoughts and prayers after at least two state troopers were shot in Franklin County Wednesday night.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Gov. Shapiro issued the following statement: Advertisement

"Lori and I are praying for the two Pennsylvania State troopers shot in the line of duty in Chambersburg tonight. Pennsylvania’s law enforcement officers are the very best of us — running towards danger every day to keep our communities safe."

He continued, saying, "Please join me in praying for the injured troopers, their loved ones, and every member of the state police."
