DECATUR – When Bishop Luers and Concordia met in the regular-season opener back in August, the game was finally decided with a penalty kick shootout, where the Knights prevailed to claim their first SAC victory.

The Knights and Cadets met once again in the Class 2A Bellmont Boys Soccer Sectional semifinal on Wednesday evening, and once again the outcome came down to PKs – but this time, the penalties were awarded in regulation. Bishop Luers senior midfielder Andres Rodriguez sank both shots in the final 20 minutes to give the No. 6 Knights (11-5-2, 7-0 SAC) a 2-1 victory over the No. 7 Cadets (10-8, 5-2 SAC) and send Bishop Luers through to Saturday's championship match.
